Falls Reservoir Waterfalls and Caves: Badin, North Carolina

A great day of paddling can be had on the waters of Falls Reservoir in Badin, NC. This small body of water sits between Badin Lake and Lake Tillery on the Yadkin River. One shoreline consists of Uwharrie National Forest. Explore a small cave, large tunnels you can paddle in, a small cabin from a forgotten time, and take your turn jumping off of cliffs into the cool waters. Paddle under a beautiful waterfall to cool off. It takes a bit of work paddling to find some of these hidden among the coves but a little curiosity can lead the way. One of the most popular things people do on Falls Reservoir is kayak to the caves. They aren't really caves but actually tunnels that were blasted when creating the dam.
