April 10 marks 25 years since the Good Friday Agreement was signed in Belfast. Hammered out in large part by Bertie Ahern, Tony Blair and Bill Clinton, the peace deal changed the course of Northern Ireland's history, ending more than 30 years of armed conflict known as "The Troubles." The accord formed today's government, based on power-sharing between the mostly Catholic nationalists, who wanted independence, and the Protestant unionists wanting to keep ties with the UK.
