The Pines of the Appian Way, with The Ohio State University Marching Band

Описание к видео The Pines of the Appian Way, with The Ohio State University Marching Band

The fourth and final movement of Ottorino Respighi's Pines of Rome portrays pine trees along the Appian Way - the great military road leading into Rome - in the misty dawn as a triumphant legion advances in the brilliance of the rising sun; trumpets (and, in the case of British brass band scoring, cornets) peal and the consular army rises in triumph to the Capitoline Hill. Arranged for brass band by Howard Snell, with additional parts for the OSUMB - http://tbdbitl.osu.edu/ - by BBC Director Brian Stevens. Recorded during the OSU Marching Band's annual concert at Veterans Memorial, Columbus, OH on November 10, 2013.
