Living Boldly With Blindness - Mario Bonds

Born with a degenerative eye disease called morning glory syndrome, Mario Bonds was blind by age 9. However, that didn’t stop him from pursuing a career at the Department of Transportation or from becoming an author, motivational speaker, and performer on the TV reality show The Glee Project. Although Mario has faced numerous challenges in his life, he has tackled them head-on to achieve independence through the use of vision rehabilitation, assistive technology, and the support of his co-workers, friends, and family.
