Debate Competition on Road Safety Held in Kargil to Mark Road Safety Month


In Ladakh, as part of the nationwide Road Safety Month, a debate competition was organized by the Mini Bus Cooperative Transport Society Kargil under the theme “Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha.”

School children participated enthusiastically in the programme and presented their views on traffic rules, road discipline, and the importance of safe driving practices to prevent accidents and save lives.

ARTO Kargil, Mr. Khadim Hussain, who attended the event as the Chief Guest, appreciated the efforts of transport unions for coming forward to organize such important awareness programmes to mark Road Safety Month. He particularly thanked the Mini Bus Cooperative Transport Society Kargil for organizing a fruitful debate competition and for engaging youth in this vital issue.

Mr. Khadim Hussain urged people to celebrate Road Safety Month in a meaningful manner and to disseminate information on road safety among others, encouraging everyone to act as road safety ambassadors.

Traffic Inspector DTI Fazil Abbas was present on the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
