COAS General Asim Munir emphasized the need for stronger governance to transform Pakistan into a "hard state" and prioritize national security over political agendas. He urged unity among all stakeholders and called on religious scholars to counter extremist ideologies. General Munir reassured the nation of the military's commitment to defending Pakistan and defeating those who seek to weaken the country.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur emphasized the need to end mutual distrust and promote harmony among political parties during the Parliamentary Committee on National Security meeting. He highlighted security issues in the province and stressed that merged tribal districts have not received adequate resources, a matter he has repeatedly raised with the federation.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, addressing the National Security Committee, stressed that terrorism is a crucial national issue requiring global awareness, particularly regarding Afghanistan's role as a haven for terrorists. He called for stronger diplomatic efforts to address the issue and urged the identification of those financially supporting terrorism. Bilawal reaffirmed the Pakistan Peoples Party's commitment to unconditionally support efforts to eliminate extremism and terrorism from Pakistan.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has strongly criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for not attending the National Security Committee meeting, accusing the party of prioritizing Imran Khan over national security. In a post on the social media platform ‘X,’ Asif alleged that PTI's motto is "No Khan, No Pakistan," highlighting that the party is more focused on its political interests than the security and peace of the country. He questioned PTI’s stance in the fight against terrorism, labeling their actions as anti-patriotic. Despite initially confirming their attendance, PTI decided to withdraw from the meeting, with Secretary General Salman Akram Raja explaining that the decision was made after discussions within the party’s political committee. Asif, however, reaffirmed the government's commitment to national unity in the face of terrorism, emphasizing that both civilian and military leadership are united in combating the threat.

Punjab and Sindh Information Ministers, Uzma Bukhari and Sharjeel Inam Memon, criticized PTI for boycotting the Parliamentary Committee on National Security meeting. Bukhari accused PTI of prioritizing Imran Khan over national interest, while Memon condemned PTI's refusal to stand with the state during a critical time of rising terrorism. Both emphasized the importance of unity in addressing national security and accused PTI of weakening Pakistan's security narrative.
