This is the longest road trip I’ve ever done in 1 day, 550 Miles!! At least i was in a very cool customized vehicle. My 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler. Normally my road trips involve a lot of off roading and dirt roads, but this trip is very far away and requires pavement and higher speeds to be possible. The good news is, this is a roadtrip you can do yourself no matter what kind of car you own. So get out there and have an adventure off your own. If its too far for you to do cannonball style, then just find a hotel or campsite to stay in along the way

July 3rd 2025, Independence week. Took the whole family on an epic road trip to the space and rocket center in Huntsville Alabama.

Cannonballing a 550 mile round trip, not 900 as I said in the video. (I recently watched Smokey and the Bandit)

We took backroads along the Georgia Alabama border, and picked up I-20 just into Alabama. From there we went west through Talladega to our 1st pit stop.
We made pit stops at Buckeyes in Leeds on the way, On the way back we stop at Bass pro shops in Leeds, both stops were my first time in either location.
Also on the return trip, We stopped for dinner at Milos in Moody Alabama, also my first time at Milos. All this time I thought they only made sweet tea, i now know it’s a local chain of fast food burgers.

Dont forget, guess the four songs playing in the background as we were nearing Talladega Super Speedway

The Huntsville space and Rocket center has several rocket displays, actual rockets, space shuttle, Mars landers display, a weather satellite display, aircraft, rockets engines, ISS international space station walk through mock up, Apollo lander display, and a while lot more.
Definitely give yourself plenty of time to explore. There are multiple buildings spread out over the property
