HOW RIG WELDERS GET PAID (CONTRACT VS. SPLIT CHECK)
Pipeline welder pay can sound confusing if you have never worked in it before. An annual pipeline welder salary is made up of hourly arm pay, truck pay and per diem. A pipeline welder income isn’t all taxed the same either. So when you are asking how much do pipeliners make it’s important to know the different ways to get paid and what it all means.

I’m Austin Ross a pipeline welder and this channel is for new, future and seasoned pipeliner and rig welder. I’m often asked about rig welder salary and pipeline rig welder salary so today I wanted to do the setup for that future video and explain the ins and outs of how you can get paid. It’s different if you are on a contract rig welder jobs vs being a nonunion or union welder. I would prefer to talk about expenses over a union pipeline welder salary but if you need those answers let me know and I’ll make a future video about them.
