The Bihar Legislative Assembly election will be held in two phases. Phase 1: November 6, 2025. Phase 2: November 11, 2025. Total constituencies: 243.
Counting of votes: November 14, 2025.
Recently, the Election Commission of India (ECI) carried out a Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
It is a new project initiative by the Indian ECI.
This project is to check all the voters, add new voters or delete no proof.
Under SIR, 21.53 lakh new voters were added and 3.66 lakh names were deleted from Bihar’s voter list.
Bihar is the first state in India to implement SIR.
After the adding and deleting voter names it became controversial.
For example : The Brazilian model has many votes in India, which was explained by Rahul Gandhi.
But the election started.
A viral video from Samastipur, Bihar, showed VVPAT slips scattered along a roadside, triggering political controversy.
In the footage, locals could be seen picking up the slips and checking them.
The RJD alleged that these slips came from the EVMs used during the recent polling.
However, the district administration clarified that the slips were from a mock poll conducted before the official voting.
But there is a rule that even testing papers has to be filed.
The Election Commission confirmed that an Assistant Election Officer has been suspended for negligence.
FIR has been registered regarding the incident.
But it is true or fake dont.
