Amity Shlaes and Will Haun deliver remarks at the 2023 James Wilson Leadership & the Law Awards Dinner honoring Judge Janice Rogers Brown for her bravery and jurisprudence.

Amity Shlaes chairs the Board of the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation, a Board on which Judge Brown serves. The Foundation’s goal is to engage young Americans in the principles and legacy of our Nation’s 30th President. Amity is the author of four New York Times bestsellers, including most recently Great Society: A New History.

Will Haun is senior counsel at Becket where he defends religious liberty before the U.S. Supreme Court as well as other courts. Will was part of the legal team that secured a 9-0 Supreme Court victory in Fulton v. City of Philadelphia in 2021. Early in his career he clerked for Judge Brown at the U.S Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He earned his JD from Catholic University School of Law.
