BeeHero - Sensor technology in honey bee apiaries - Is this the future of beekeeping?
I had the opportunity to talk to Itai Kanot, Chief Operational Officer of BeeHero, an Israeli start-up company developing a new technology to help commercial beekeeping operations. This sensor that measures temperature, CO2, and sound can help to inform real-time beekeepers about what is happening in each hive in the apiary. Beekeepers apparently will save money in labor and get better pollination services contracts.
