How about a quick look at the inside workings of Greene County Fertilizer Company? I had a visitor come to the plant unannounced while I was there to come and see what we do and who we are before committing to doing business with us. Thank you for coming to visit Bernard, it was fun to show you around the place. Given that there was one person willing to make the drive to see what we're all about, I thought I'd share some of the inner workings, the improvements and the direction we're headed.

If you're just joining me, I am the founder of Greene County Fertilizer Company in Greensboro, Georgia. The plant was purchased in late 2013 and production started within weeks of moving. Prior to this our production facility was in Kearney Nebraska. The production facility is 30,000 ft.² and split into a few different quadrants. The one that we are mainly focusing on today is our bottling and fulfillment side.

This location is 100% responsible for the production, bottling and fulfillment of the Greene County line. All of our N-ext Products are brewed and blended on site with the exception of GreenePhite. Our liquid humic acid production line now takes up more than 1/3 of the back production area which includes storage of raw materials, liquid fertilizer production and freight shipments.

The front of the house is mainly dedicated to the bottling in fulfillment of small packaging. In 2020 we decided to expand our efficiencies and pull the trigger on a state of the art bottling line. With Covid, the timing and installation of the equipment was most definitely delayed. While we had hoped to be running bottles nonstop starting in February, the line wasn't officially in action until May.

Since that time, we have been working out the kinks and quirks of becoming more of an automated company and continuing to increase our efficiencies. It's pretty amazing to watch all of the people step up and handle all of our material with such care. The behind-the-scenes faces are doing so much to make sure that everything that comes out of the plant is absolutely top-quality.

In the near future, I will give everybody a deeper walk-through of what we are doing down there but for now, I wanted to share with you the changes that have happened over the last 18 months and give you a little bit more of a direction on where we are going.
