B&O in Cleveland and Ravenna Ohio, c.1958-62. Steam switching at the Cleveland W. 3rd St. Yard.
The wreck was in Ravenna, Ohio and it was caused by a freight that had derailed going 40MPH. Eastbound. No. 17 came along at 55 MPH. E-7s 1432 leading and 1445 trailing. Hit derailed Extra 4511 East freight fouling Track One. 16 people injured. Caused by broken spring plank on gondola B&O 352318. Anyone know what the name of the Pullman car was? Didn't get it on film! Filmed by my father 5/26/62.
Last shot is B&O S-2 at Brookside Park, Cleveland.
