‘Waking The Dead’ is a British police procedural crime drama broadcast on BBC One between 4 September 2000 and 11 April 2011. The series follows the work of a fictional London-based cold case unit, a special police team that investigates cold cases which usually concern murders that took place a number of years in the past and were never solved. The team is made up of police officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) led by head officer Detective Superintendent Peter Boyd, Detective Inspector Spencer Jordan, psychological profiler Grace Foley and a forensic pathologist ‒ first Frankie Wharton, then Felix Gibson and lastly Eve Lockhart.
