Papa Nero beach Pelion

Papa Nero Beach Pelion is located next to the beach resort of Agios Ioannis. It is a long white sand beach with crystal clean blue water.


Papa Nero beach is located between Agios Ioannis and Damouchari, two villages that belong administratively to the Municipality of Mouresi, northwest of Pelion (part of the prefecture of Magnesia which belongs to the geographical region of Thessaly).



The Prefecture of Magnesia stretches to the Pagasitic Gulf, with Volos as its capital. The Northern Sporades (Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos the most famous islands), are located east of Pelion and also belong also to the Prefecture of Magnesia.

Pelion is bathed west by the calm waters of the Pagasitikos and east by the open waters of the Aegean. The highest point of the mountain reaches 1600 m, where the well-equipped ski center in Chania is located. Pelion generously offers its wild beauty, especially on its east side, where the beaches are steeper.

The bays and beaches enchant the visitor, like that of Papa Nero which is one of the largest and most beautiful beaches of Pelion with easy access, suitable for the whole family.
