This is the game film from the first Beach Bowl played at Maxwell Field in Wildwood, NJ between the Father Judge Crusaders and St. John Neumann Pirates on Saturday September 4, 1982. The previous year these teams played a preseason game on Labor Day weekend at Northeast High School in Philadelphia in front of a small crowd. Realizing that many people in Philadelphia spend Labor Day weekend at the Jersey Shore, this game was moved to Wildwood, NJ and started a tradition of Philadelphia area high school teams playing on the holiday weekend at the Jersey Shore. This is Beach Bowl I.
