Ford Probe GT | Customised Ford Probe | Why I modified my Ford Probe

This is the 3rd and the final part of our Ford Probe project which we have carried out an extensive transformation, total pimp my ride style. It has gone from a classic Ford Probe to a MaxPower styled beast, with the fibreglass bonnet and the big spoiler, full custom cat-back exhaust to give it a aggressive sound, window tints, lights tinted, 19" alloy wheels, wiring fixed and added few extra lights to enhance the finished look.
You either love it or hate it with no middle ground for this.

This is Ford’s FAILED Mustang Replacement
out of all the weirdest things Ford motor company has done throughout its history, this is by far one of the strangest, something very unusual. Did you know that the Ford Probe, was ALMOST a next generation mustang? Or that Mazda helped Ford, to mastermind the design of the Probe.
After the foxbody Mustang had been out for over a decade and run its course, Ford noticed the world starting to sway over to smaller more compact vehicles with better fuel economy and front wheel drive. With Ford owning the majority of Mazda at the time they decided "hey let's just use Mazda to build our new Mustang of the future." The result was this - the Ford Probe GT.
This was once called called the Mustang of the future and it was based on the Mazda MX6.
For the most part all but the interior was Mazda and not Ford. So what's the in depth story about this thing and why was it cancelled as the Mustang?
