CommSec’s Tom Piotrowski says the Dow Jones hit a “record high” after it finished last week up by 1.3 per cent.

“It was quite an encouraging end to the Northern Hemisphere week as well,” Mr Piotrowski told Sky News Australia.

“Friday saw the Dow Jones up 0.7 per cent and hitting a record high in the process over the course of the week, up by 1.3 per cent.

“Activity in the US services sector was revealed to be at its best levels since the middle of 2022.”
