Gum moths, including the Emperor gum moth (Opodiphthera eucalypti) and the Helena gum moth (Opodiphthera helena), appear to be in decline in parts of their range. Is the decline due to predation by predatory wasps, changing landscapes, or something else?

In this video we look at these amazing moths and their huge, colourful larvae and learn about their life cycle and where they occur. We also look at some of the reasons why these incredible insects might be in decline.
