The pandemic is ongoing and the whole world is still dealing with the crisis. For Singapore, the government deals with it by implementing the ‘Trace Together’ app and token. With the app or token, it allows contact tracing to be faster and more efficient and it will soon be mandatory to use this when going to public places. For a start, it is being implemented at the local movie theatres. Previously using the Safe Entry QR code to check in, now it is no longer in use and mandatory for all customers to use either the ‘Trace Together ‘ app or token if they wish to enter the cinemas.

The distribution of the tokens is being carried out at the local community centres and today, I went to the one nearest to my place for the collection of the token. I prefer using the token as it is fast and efficient and one just needed to scan the QR code on the token to gain entry. For the app, you need to enable the Bluetooth[which is quite battery consuming] on your hand-phone device and login to scan in order to gain entry.

While this is being issued for use for all Singapore citizens and PRs, all foreign visitors will also be issued the token for use should they come to Singapore.
