AZ/DZ Exam Circle Check
3 – Pushrod Stroke – “Mark & Measure”

Pre-Steps: (must always prepare the truck for each test, and
-Put the Chocks Under the Trailer
Release Parking Brakes (Push in Red & Yellow Buttons)
Steps:
Start the Engine. Set Air Pressure to 100+PSI
Report: “My Pressure is Over 100PSI”
Turn Wheel all the way to the Left.
Shut Off the Engine.
Open the Hood.
Grab the Caliper.
Measure Chamber Diameter.
Report: “I have 183mm”
Report: “My Outside Diameter is 183mm. My Chamber Size is 24.”
Report: “No STAMP, No STROKE TAG, No SQUARE PORT.”
Report: “I Have Size 24 Standard.”
Report: “My Adjustment Limit is 45mm”
Put Chalk Mark on Pushrod at the Front Chamber Wall.
Apply Service Brakes. (Use Brake Stick on Brake Pedal)
One Click Key to the Right.
Check to Make Sure Pressure is Between 90-100 PSI. Adjust as Needed.
Report: “My Pressure is Between 90-100 PSI.”
Measure Pushrod Stroke.
Report: “I have ”30”mm” (Less than adjustment limit: “45mm”)

Major Defect: When Pushrod Stroke Exceeds Adjustment Limit.
Therefore:
”I Call Operator, I Write in My Log Book. Vehicle is out of Service.”
