The Compilation C:\999\VA\001 is the first release of Warsaw-based collective and its debut as a label.
This V.A. is the result of a collaboration between leading Polish artists, podcast platform Lost in Ether and like-minded producers from abroad, to highlight the current situation of music producers in times of lockdown.
On the V.A. among other artists, we can hear residents of 999 with T A K A, Kuba Sojka, Violent; Tapefeed, Flaminia feat. Benas BAR (Acolytes Of Yama) and End Train known from UK's Village Underground and Superstition parties, as well as Polish leading veterans Blazej Malinowski, Michal Jablonski or Michal Wolski .

Together C:\999\VA\001 counts 22 premiere tracks.
The V.A. is divided into four stylistic parts, with each focusing on a different interpretation of techno. Special thanks are due to Michal Jablonski, who put a lot of heart into C:\999\VA\001.

'Whilst we usually avoid assigning sublime motives to what we are doing, this time is different. There are lots of talks about the impact of the current situation on clubs and festivals, but the impact on artists themselves is often overlooked. This V.A. is a reminder that music we all used to dance to every weekend, comes from the artists. We want to support artists in times when clubs are closed, and buying their music is one of the best ways of doing that.' This is how Mateusz Skiba, the initiator of the V.A and one of the founders of 999, sums up the idea behind the compilation.

C:\999\VA\001 is available on 999's Bandcamp page for 10 Euros. '10 Euros is the usual entrance fee to a club, which only a couple of weeks ago we used to spend each week. Having that in mind, we strongly encourage to use those funds to support artists.' 999 adds. The whole income from V.A. will be distributed among the artists involved. 999 is a Warsaw-based collective which although operating for only one year, has already made a strong remark on the Polish electronic music scene. 999 runs the same-titled club, series of 50 hours warehouse marathon parties called '50 hours of love' as well as series of podcasts regarding current affairs of Polish electronic music scene titled 'Przegląd Techniczny'. Currently, 999 add to its pool publishing activities and debuts as a label.
