“I like who I am now.” Marine Veteran Rediscovers Her Worth Through Therapy

After deployment with the Marines, Shifali felt like a changed person and was hypervigilant and depressed. And, coming home she was involved in an abusive relationship. After speaking with other Veterans who had similar experiences, Shifali decided to seek mental health support. Talking through her challenges with a woman care provider helped Shifali rediscover her worth and advocate for her needs.
