Twitch Tips Part 2: Welcoming Raids

I got partner on Twitch this year and I’m going to teach YOU how I did it.

Welcoming each raid you receive is crucial.

Each time your channel gets a raid, it is a chance for you to market yourself.

One time I raided a new to me streamer and she immediately criticized how few viewers I had and was the opposite of welcoming. I never raided her again because I want to take my community to places that appreciate it.

Be hype and energetic with your greeting. The energy you put out will also give the new viewers either a reason to stay or go.

This shows the streamer who brought their community in the raid your gratitude. They could choose anyone on the platform to raid or even end their broadcast, but they chose YOU. Think about that every time. Your reaction to their raid could potentially encourage that streamer to bring another raid to you in the future.

Have an elevator pitch ready as well.

In less than a minute, you should be able to tell the new viewers what you and your community on Twitch do on Twitch.. It doesn’t have to be the same every time, but it should be something that is short and straightforward that summarizes your content.

This will help the new viewers decide if your stream is a place they would enjoy spending their time. Any one of them could become regulars in your stream and this is your chance to make your first impression, so make it count.
