The Bali Hotels Association ( BHA) Sustainable Food Festival Launch and Cooking Competition delivered an incredible showcase of talent from our BHA member hotels! These events weren’t just about amazing flavors—they celebrated Indonesia’s vibrant cultural heritage and underscored our commitment to sustainability in every delicious bite. Watching the finalists create inspired, eco-friendly dishes that honor both tradition and the environment was nothing short of exhilarating!

Focusing on non-managerial positions, the competition pushed our finalists to use locally-sourced ingredients, showcase their culinary skills, and share the rich stories behind their dishes through captivating video submissions. The final round brought the 10 top to the stage in a live cooking showdown at Conrad Bali on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

It was a thrilling, nail-biting finale, with guest judges—Ida Ayu Nyoman Candrawati (Head of Tourism Industry and Creative Economy, Bali Tourism Office), I Gede Putu Hendra Mahena (Chairman of Indonesia Chef Association), and I Nyoman Sunada (FB Lecturer, Poltekpar Bali)—treated to a feast of flavors that kept their taste buds dancing. The Conrad Bali team set up an electric atmosphere, with supporters cheering on their favorites until the very end.
