This isn't the first time I've longplayed Jack the Nipper, but I decided to make a QHD recording some time ago and never got around to publishing it.

The game is a flick-screen collect 'em up that's pretty typical of the era. You assume the role of the baddest baby in town, and the objective is to fill the naughty-o-meter to the very top by breaking stuff, shooting people with your pea shooter and generally making a nuisance of yourself. Items can be found in many of the game's various screens, which can be used to cause trouble elsewhere in the town. Much of the game involves wandering backwards and forwards, learning where the items are located and where they can be used. Games of this ilk were very common at this point, and JNT sticks quite rigidly to the formula.

As to whether you'll enjoy the game or not depends on your tolerance for these maze-like collect 'em ups. It's not the most egregious example in the genre, but the novelty of breaking plates in the local china shop, or making shoppers gag with a potty full of poo does start to wear a bit thin before too long.
