I want to begin by saying, the last album I made (and the first album I made, in fact) was over 10 years ago. In My Mind was a little collection of all my GarageBand experiments that sorta sounded like decent songs, some more than others. It was an important experimentation for me, a point of growth and learning. Now, comes my second (and my last GarageBand) album; Revive.

Rejoining the fandom has been a revival in more ways than one. I rekindled my love of singing, songwriting, music, art, and expression through reclaiming my old persona called Feather. She was me and I was her. And we are finally one again.

I want to say my deepest thanks to those who have collaborated on this album with me, especially 4EverfreeBrony. His influence and vibe can be felt across this album, and I'm so grateful for him to helping my clunky instrumentals find their true sound. You are a wizard, Goony.

Revive is an album about the rebirth of my persona, Feather, in the world of MLP. It's about experiencing the show again and this album is what was born from that. Each song stands in it's own right, but as an album, it's the story of my reconnection with characters and concepts from the show, woven together with my own personal experiences and feelings.

This song is a special one, I wrote it from the perspective of Fluttershy combined with the influences of my own experience of crushing on my now husband. I relate to her a lot, and I feel we are very similar. My first kiss with my now husband when we were teenagers lead to me dropping my head because I was blushing so hard that he ended up kissing my eye by accident. It felt very Fluttershy coded. Watching MLP again after all those years away and reconnecting with Fluttershy as a character was so heart-warming. I hope you can hear how honest and freeing it feels to give life to my voice and heart after all these years.
