Synopsis :

Chandragupta is captured and brought near the place where Durdhara is kept as a hostage. He protects Durdhara and stands tall against the soldiers until they escape. Durdhara is angry with Chandragupta and decides to punish him. Chandragupta is brought for a trail in front of Dhananand and Durdhara. An enraged Durdhara suggests to punish Chandragupta, but instead, Dhananand appreciates Chandragupta's bravery and grants him the privilege to be the bodyguard of Durdhara. Later, Mura requests Chandragupta not to stay in the palace as his life can be in danger anytime if he will fail in his task.

चंद्रगुप्त को पकड़कर उस जगह के पास लाया जाता है जहां दुर्धरा को बंधक बनाकर रखा जाता है। वह दुर्धरा की रक्षा करता है और सैनिकों के भागने तक उनके खिलाफ खड़ा रहता है। दुर्धरा चंद्रगुप्त से नाराज़ है और उसे दंडित करने का फैसला करता है। चंद्रगुप्त को धनानंद और दुर्धरा के सामने निशान के लिए लाया जाता है। क्रोधित दुर्धरा चंद्रगुप्त को दंडित करने का सुझाव देता है, लेकिन इसके बजाय, धनानंद चंद्रगुप्त की बहादुरी की सराहना करता है और उसे दुर्धरा का अंगरक्षक बनने का विशेषाधिकार देता है। बाद में, मुरा चंद्रगुप्त से महल में न रहने का अनुरोध करता है क्योंकि अगर वह अपने काम में असफल हो जाता है तो उसकी जान कभी भी खतरे में पड़ सकती है।
