Who Else Wants To Setup RTSP On Wyze Cam?

Wyze Cam 2 and Wyze Cam Pan can now both be setup for RTSP streaming, so it's time to go through how you do that, and what viewer works best. On top of this, I'll show you how Google Home Hub can be streamed to through the application I use.

First up, Wyze Cam 2 and Wyze Cam Pan must receive the latest firmware update. The next thing you need to do is download and rename the appropriate file from this URL: https://support.wyzecam.com/hc/en-us/...

Rename the file to demo.bin and then place that in the home directory of a micro SD card that you place into the Wyze Cam. You place it in the Wyze Cam while it's powered off, and then you hold the setup button and replace the power cable. I held it for 45 seconds, but I imagine it only takes seconds to start the process (you should see the blue light in the back come on).

From there, wait 4 minutes, and then you can set up #RTSP within the #Wyze App. You'll see how to do that in the video.

I used VLC Media Player, and honestly I think it was the best one I used. VLC Media Player is a throwback to many years ago when I used to edit video and sometimes needed a special codec. It's available on iOS, Android, and PC/Mac, so go get it and enjoy! You'll also find a Chromecast button in the app that lets you stream to a Google Home Hub.
