The new STIHL BGA 60 cordless leaf blower is the most powerful leaf blower in the STIHL AK system of battery tools, making it the ideal tool for clearing leaves and debris in larger gardens. With a maximum blowing force of 15 newtons, the STIHL BGA 60 blower isn’t short on blowing power. The variable trigger makes it easy to control the power and match the blowing force to the task at hand. For example, if you need low power for moving dry leaves on gravel, or high power for wet leaves on grass. Boost mode temporarily increases the maximum blowing force for tougher jobs, matching the STIHL BG 86 petrol leaf blower.

The metal ring at the base of the blowing tube can be used to loosen material stuck to the ground, and the length can be easily adjusted up to 16cm by pressing the orange button – no twisting required! The angle of the handle combined with the positioning of the STIHL AK battery makes the BGA 60 battery-powered blower extremely well balanced, with the blower tube naturally falling to the ideal angle with no wrist strain. A wide base prevents the BGA 60 blower from falling over on uneven ground, and a suspension eyelet on the underside allows it to be hung securely on the garage wall when not in use. The STIHL AK battery has an intermediate transport position, meaning it’s securely locked into the machine without being live which is perfect for moving around the garden without the blower being on.

As the STIHL BGA 60 is part of the AK System, the recommended STIHL AK 30 battery can also be used in every other machine in the range – this includes cordless chainsaws, battery-powered lawn mowers and even cordless pole pruners too.

The BGA 60 cordless leaf blower offers many advantages over a traditional petrol leaf blower. Firstly, as it’s so quiet no hearing protection is required, and you can work in your garden without disturbing any neighbours or animals. Unlike petrol blowers, the air intake is at the rear meaning it is equally comfortable being used with the left hand as it is the right. The BGA 60 is lighter and has significantly less vibration too, improving user comfort. And finally, since no petrol is involved, the BGA 60 is more convenient to use and requires far less preparation and maintenance – just charge up and go.
