The top high school quarterback in the '26 class is a topic of debate, with five players making strong cases according to the USA TODAY High School Sports 2026 Composite Football Recruiting Rankings. Nashville Christian's Jared Curtis, Grimsley's Faizon Brandon, American Heritage's Dia Bell, Folsom's Ryder Lyons, and Legacy the School of Sport Science's Keisean Henderson are all considered top 20 overall recruits in this senior class.

Curtis is considered the purest pocket passer with a strong arm and some of the best accuracy in the class. He makes great decisions and rarely turns the ball over, making him a capable ball carrier. Brandon is ranked as the No. 1 quarterback due to his size and arm strength, while Dia Bell is ranked 12th due to his experience and composure in the pocket.

Ryder Lyons is a seasoned player and dual passing and running threat, having combined for 6,589 passing yards and 1,514 rushing yards in the past two years. He is committed to BYU and may be a flip candidate with his brother, Walker Lyons, at USC.

Keisean Henderson is ranked as the No. 2 quarterback in the class behind Brandon, but is still relatively young and has a lot to learn. While he might be the most fun to watch on the list, he is also the least experienced at the position and the most raw. Henderson is committed to Houston and should be ranked at the bottom of the list for this season.
