What is OBP, OPS, and Slugging in Baseball? Baseball Stats EXPLAINED!

OBP(On-base percentage), Slugging, and OPS(On-base percentage PLUS slugging) are some of the most important statistics when discussing batting performance in baseball.

In this video, I give you a complete rundown on what each statistic means, why they’re important, and some of their limitations.

Finally, I go over some advanced statistics such as OPS+ as well as wOBA. I’m not a math genius or anything like that, so I explained them all as simple as possible!
