In this video, we put 6922 audio grade tubes on our noise test fixture to spot noise and microphonics that a tube tester alone would miss. The 6922 is nearly identical with the type 6DJ8 and 7308, which we can also noise test. These are often used in high end audio applications, and a noisy or microphonic tube would degrade performance. Noise testing at maximum gain is the only way to screen these tubes.
