I was up for first heat of the day against Adriaan Louw and unfortunately the conditions were still filling in. I'm not comfortable looping my 8m low so I need the 7m for proper SuperLoops, but the 7m needs some proper wind to give you the yank you need.

At the Riders Meeting, the judges expressed that the emphasis for this competition was Extremity... To me, this was what I believe the judges were meaning!

The problem that arose with Short Line competition is that Judging this discipline so subjective because there is just so much possibility with tricks. You can do every single trick from long lines - on short lines PLUS all the crazy stuff that possible with short lines! It's impossible and unfortunately the judges were very bedazzled by the loops with less yank and critical angle but with more boardoff and spin variaions... Specifically what was discouraged during the riders meeting... Anyway, thats conmpetiton for you and why my fears were valid when this was discussed in the planning of the competition.

You can't judge short lines, or at least, you can't judge what I do on short lines!! I will just keep on doing what I've been doing longer than any other current rider on the scene. Carving my own path, against the grain.
