Teacher Zola Shaolin Cane 1st Moves

Описание к видео Teacher Zola Shaolin Cane 1st Moves

Teacher Zola explains that this video will cover the first few moves of Shaolin Cane as taught 17 years ago by Master Tom Tran. Before the filming of the Shaolin Cane Teacher Zola reminds you about “SOHMA Tai Chi” YouTube videos for the basics in this Tai Chi form.
We begin with how to hold the cane and why we hold it the way we do. Then Teacher Zola teaches the first few moves several different ways. She counts out the moves and also uses some of the names for the moves. The moves covered are: Starting Movement, Dispelling the Clouds to Watch the Moon, Covering the Heads of Mandarin Ducks, Jabbing the Crane Head-On, Opening the Door to See the Mountain, Fair-lady Picking-up Mulberry and Pulling to cut the Belly. Teacher Zola explains that the form was modified years ago to teach students that had never done any martial arts, therefore matching the names with the modified form is just a bit difficult. Still, Teacher Zola repeats the first moments in different directions to help you learn this useful form
