One of the more interesting findings from the study is around capital allocation, specifically the opposing trends we've seen in Venture Capital and Real Estate investments from family offices.
Look at the increase in Venture Capital:
1️⃣ In the second half of 2015, total investment was only 17%.
2️⃣ That investment peaked all the way up to 38% in the first half of 2022.
3️⃣ It has now settled back down to 31% in our latest data from the first half of 2025.
Conversely, we've seen the opposite trend in Real Estate investments:
1️⃣ The percentage of total investment into real estate was once 48%.
2️⃣ That trended downward over the decade to 26% in the second half of 2023.
3️⃣ As of the first half of 2025, it has gone back up to 39%.
Forward looking, with investments going into AI and infrastructure, I think you're going to still see both of these dynamic trends continue.
