Описание к видео All About Armadillos - Armadillo Facts for Kids

#Armadillos are mammals that have their back, head, legs, and tail covered in bony plates. In fact, Armadillos are the only animals anywhere with a body covered in shells to protect them against enemies or dangers.

Armadillos armor is actually hardened skin, kind of like the material that covers our fingernails or toenails.

Some Armadillos are different colors like salmon, red, grey, black or a yellow color

Armadillos like to dig for termites from small tunnels that are too hard to reach with just their claws so they have a sticky tongue that insects get stuck to.

Some species of armadillo are as tiny as 6 inches, and some armadillos grow as big as 5 feet.

Armadillos are related to sloths and anteaters. Armadillos live in the tropical parts of South and North America.

Armadillo habitats are made up of warm and mild weather, in ecosystems like rainforests, grasslands, or semi-deserts.
