On Sunday, January 26, 2020 -- we lost one of the biggest sports icons of our generation.
And the next day...like every Monday we shoot The Anna Report live show.
Season 4 of The Anna Report launched with our new co-host Mike Gabriel.
If you have ever seen a single episode of The Anna Report – you would know instantly that Mike is a DIE-HARD sports fan. When I heard the tragic and shocking news, my mind immediately went to Mike. Tears uncontrollably began to roll down my face because my heart was breaking for everyone who lost Kobe. Starting from his immediate family to people like Mike. Kobe definitely motivated and influenced me but I was touched by how well he inspired the men around me. As one of my friends put it, “Kobe was the reason why so many of the youth stayed indoors to watch (basketball) instead of being out and doing bad things potentially.” My friend is so right.

I was ready to cancel this show but every time I came across one of his quotes, I was convinced that I need to push through the grief, shock, loss, and pain.

Aside from Kobe’s unmeasurable talent on the basketball court, he was also an exceptional father, humanitarian, mentor, and friend. And how could we forget that he got a second chance at his marriage and chose to make it exceptionally right. There is so much we can endlessly learn from the legacy that Kobe Bryant left behind.

In his honor, this episode is dedicated to remembering the legacy of Kobe Bryant. Join us as we go down memory lane together.
