XLR Mic into Sony A7iv (or any mirrorless camera) - with a USB Audio Interface

Описание к видео XLR Mic into Sony A7iv (or any mirrorless camera) - with a USB Audio Interface

An in depth walk through of a fairly simple audio signal chain to get (most likely) better audio recorded into your hybrid-style mirrorless cameras like the Sony A7iv, Panasonic GH5, Sony A7iii, etc....with ANY XLR microphone like a Shure SM58, or any dynamic or condenser mic.

In this long version, I go through not only how to physically set this up (which is the easy part), but I also walk through proper gain structure of not only your microphone and USB audio interface, but also your camera's audio settings so you can get the cleanest sound.

This video came about because of a question I received on my other video where I recorded my audio into my Panasonic GH5 using a Shure SM58 and a simple adapter cable, that video can be seen here:    • XLR mic with your camera without an X...

This is just another method, but remember to always gain structure your entire system for optimal performance.

Lastly HERE is the link to TLDR Filmmaker’s video where I learned about the Sony Mic limiter/Distortion problem when set to “3 or less:”    • Sony A7sIII Audio Distortion Problem ...

I hope this video is helpful to you!!
