I went on an amazing camping trip to North Stradbroke Island during the week to complete a bucket list item of mine which is swimming with the sharks. The reefs off Stradbroke island are named in the top 10 dive sites in Australia. As everyone would know I love sharks and they are incredible animals that don't need to be feared as much as they are. diving here you will need some experience as there is a strong current especially at Mantra Boomie but definitely worth it, I went diving with Mantra Lodge Scuba Centre and they are a great company to go through.

Spent the first night camping at flinders beach campsite F and it was very well protected by the wind. the 2nd night camped at Main beach, which was a little windier, but the campsite was virtually empty compared to flinders beach that had pretty much every site booked. the cicadas on main beach were quite loud but as the night went on, they quieted down.

If you are still wanting to experience wildlife and the reef but don't have a diving license, I went paddleboarding and snorkeling of flinders parade in Dunwich, and there was a surprising amount of coral in the area. and before anyone asks no I did not see a crocodile while over there, i seen lots of posted on Facebook about a crocodile sighting and even if there was a crocodile, I don't think it possess much of a threat.
