Hiking Solo: Gyeryongsan, Geoje-si, South Korea

This was the first mountain I climbed in Korea. Its called Gyeryongsan and it's located on Geoje-si, a beautiful island South of the city of Busan. Geoje is a part of the Hallyeohaesang National Park in the Gyeongsangnam-do province. The island of Geoje hosts an immense amount of flora, fauna and some wildlife. It is a breathtaking place to visit and I had the chance to live there for some time. The park is a mix of many unique ecosystems encompassing marine, mountain and forest ecology. It extends along the 120km shoreline from Geoje to a city called Yeosu in the Jeollanam-do province. To say the least, the park is massive and you really can't go wrong hiking, camping, climbing or doing whatever outdoor activity you fancy.
