Brioche Knitting Tutorial: BRK 4 ST DEC

Описание к видео Brioche Knitting Tutorial: BRK 4 ST DEC

This knitting tutorial demonstrates how to do a 4-st center decrease in brioche knitting (BRK 4 ST DEC), and how to back out of it if you make a mistake! You can find all of my brioche knitting tutorials on this playlist:    • Brioche!

Here are the written steps:
St = Stitch/es
LHN = Left hand needle
RHN = Right hand needle
Sl = Slip

You will utilize the next 5 sts on your LHN for this decrease, which will decrease out 4 of these sts by the end. For ease of explaining, let’s label these next 5 sts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (starting at the stitch closest to the tip of your needle.
Step 1. Sl st 1 knitwise to the RHN.
Step 2. Sl st 2 knitwise to the RHN.
Step 3. Sl st 3 to a removeable stitch marker and hang it to the front of your work.
Step 4. Knit st 4. (We will still refer to this st that is now on the RHN as st 4.)
Step 5. Pass st 2 over st 4. St 4 remains on the needle.
Step 6. Sl st 4 back to the LHN, pass st 5 over st 4. St 4 remains on the needle.
Step 7. Sl st 4 back to the RHN, pass st 1 over st 4.
Step 8. Take st 3 from the removable stitch marker and place it back on the LHN. Sl st 4 over to the LHN. Pass st 3 over st 4.
The decrease is now complete, so you can return st 4 to the RHN and make sure to give a tug on the working yarn to remove the slack. [4 sts dec’d]
