In this video, I show you and discuss the fundamental building block channels of “color” in an RGB Photoshop image and explain how all color is actually created on output and is controlled by the grayscale pixels on the individual "color" channels. Then using our color correction workspace that we set up in video #1 I show you how to use your master and individual color channel histograms to evaluate the tone distribution and the color balance and color cast of an image by looking at the distribution of tonal values on the master channel and on the three individual color channels. I finish up by showing you how using non-destructive Adjustment Layers provides you with real-time visual results as well as demonstrate the dynamic response of your histograms to all your non-destructive image adjustments.
