THE SUPER YACHT BRIDGE EQUIPMENT TOUR | What It's Like Working On A Yacht In The Bridge

In this video I take you on a super yacht bridge tour, showing you exactly what each piece of equipment is, and how we use it.

As a yacht first officer it is my responsibility to know how all the Bridge equipment works, and if you're thinking about working on yachts and superyachts I suggest you do too.

Even if you're not planning to work in the deck department, one of your yacht crew duties may be to stand on the Bridge as a lookout. By having better knowledge of these systems, you will be able to provide increased assistance to the OOW.

If you are wanting to work your way up the ranks to deck officer level then knowledge of all this information is essential, and it will form a big part of your super yacht crew training. The Navigation & Radar course is the longest (and one of the most difficult), so getting started early in your mega yacht career is highly recommended.
