As the world takes action to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, many dance/movement therapists are finding themselves needing to provide services via telehealth for the first time. This webinar is an introduction to the topic. Based on her experience facilitating dance/movement therapy via telehealth at the VA, Jenny Baxley Lee, MA, BC-DMT shares her thoughts on the following:
o Initiating dance/movement therapy practice using telehealth
o Adapting practice in the immediate
o Sustaining practice in the longer-term through self-care

About the Presenter:
Jenny Baxley Lee, MA, BC-DMT, serves as Assistant Director, Senior Lecturer and Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist with the University of Florida's Center for Arts in Medicine in the College of the Arts. She is affiliated faculty with the School of Theatre and Dance and the STEM Translational Communication Center and serves on the Research Committee in the College of the Arts. Jenny is an active member of the American Dance Therapy Association and served on the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Dance Therapy as Book and Film Review Editor. Jenny's current research focus includes arts-based practices in palliative care as well as evaluating the use of telehealth to deliver dance/movement therapy and creative arts therapies.
