Описание к видео [OUTDATED] Pro Tip: Creating Content Templates in DivvyHQ

http://divvyhq.com - Hey there folks...Brody Dorland here with a quick video to show you how you can create templates for certain types of content that you create regularly, or have a consistent format or workflow.

Let's say that my company regularly creates case studies as part of our regular content offering.

Our case studies typically follow a certain format or outline. To ensure that we're following that format consistently, I can either create my outline in the WYSIWYG editor, or I can attach a word doc template that can be downloaded and used when creating a new case study.

While I'm at it, our case studies are typically produced and reviewed by the same people each time, and there's a specific production workflow that includes interviewing the customer, writing the first draft, sourcing photo assets and getting both internal and customer approvals.

There's also consistency in some of the content strategy fields, such as where we publish our case studies, and how we promote them.

So as you can see, this content item becomes a great starting point, or "template", for new case studies that we'll do in the future. Now here's the pro tip.

Notice that I've included the word "Template" in the Title field. And in the Key Details panel, notice that I've set my status to Parking Lot. Now when I want to start on a new case study, I don't have to create a new content item from scratch. I can go to the Parking Lot, find my case study template, open it in the content editor and click Duplicate.

This is essentially like clicking Save As in MS Word to make a copy of your template. The original template stays in your Parking Lot, but the duplicate copy can now be used to produce your new case study. By setting a deadline on this content item, any production tasks you've added will also utilize Divvy's automated deadline calculation, even for Divvy Lite customers.

So if your organization uses templates for frequent content assets, perhaps this pro tip will help you save some time. For more tips like this, why not subscribe to our YouTube channel. Thanks for watching and happy Divvying!
