BTS of my film for WePresent using Byredo Cosmetics | ISAMAYA FFRENCH

Hey Everyone, you all know I love a bit of BTS ;)

This week I collaborated with Byredo to bring you a behind the scenes look at a very special project I created for WePresent titled, ‘My New Flesh’ which was directed by Rodrigo Inada.

With the help of an amazing creative team I turned myself into 4 terrifying creatures - Bug Girl, Bat Girl, Octopus Girl & Spider Girl - each of these creatures had their own custom costumes, prosthetics, hair, nails & set design which all told their individual stories. An extremely important part of this project was that I bring an element of humanness into each creature. This humanness was developed through particular attention to details in the costumes, the set, and a the nuance in the makeup gestures and application. All these elements allowed each being to transform into a really uncanny blend between human & creature.
