Van Gogh Wheatfield with Cypresses | Oil Painting Study Timelapse

Timelapse of an oil on canvas full-scale study of Vincent van Gogh's "A Wheatfield with Cypresses" from September 1889. I really enjoyed following in Van Gogh's footsteps here. The rough lines and bold colours that Van Gogh confidently puts on the canvas make this painting a joy to study. The result turned out nicely too.

I've tried to match the original pigments as close as I could, with some differences noted below:
Titanium White (mostly for underpaints, not used by Van Gogh)
Zinc White (matches Van Gogh, and his favoured impasto white)
Cobalt Blue (for the sky, clouds and mountains, Van Gogh used viridian for sky)
Ultramarine Blue (for outlines and also seems to have been used by Van Gogh for outlines?)
Cadmium Red (red flowers at base, Van Gogh used vermilion)
Cadmium Yellow (for wheatfields, Van Gogh used chrome yellow)
Sap Green and other greens mixed from the above (for some plants, Van Gogh likely used emerald green, viridian, zinc white and chrome yellow)

There are a couple of things I would do differently if I did this again:
Here I reworked the sky a couple of times and still wasn't really happy with the result. Van Gogh seems to have painted only a couple of rough passes (with some gaps to the canvas) and some of the canvas shows through. It would have been better to start with a tinted canvas to get a little closer to Van Gogh's original which would likely make the sky sit better.
Similarly, the sky colours don't really match the original. My understanding is that he used viridian for the sky, but didn't have that on hand, and had a little trouble recreating the colour with my palette.

Overall though this was a really enjoyable study.
