Ukraine forces bypass Russian defences by 'easily' crossing Dnipro River as they aim for Crimea. Ukrainian troops are pushing across the Dnipro River in the south. Video appears to show Kyiv’s forces crossing the river with ease, amid rumours Russia is retreating from the opposite bank.
If Ukraine can cross the river in force, it opens the road to Crimea. By bypassing defences that thwarted Kyiv’s summer offensive. Taking Crimea is Ukraine’s most-important war objective. As Kyiv thinks it will break the back of Putin’s army in Ukraine.
