Kia EV6 (eGMP Platform) battery degradation revealed - 2 years old and over 50,000 miles. Stats.

Here I reveal the battery degradation stats for my Kia EV6 after having now lived with it for 2 years and having driven over 50,000 miles. For reference I have mostly AC charged at home, typically to 70 - 90% SOC. But there have been many long journeys where I have charged to 100% overnight before leaving and several long journeys where I have also DC charged during the trip.

In this video I do show a graph of the degradation over the last year and a half. I don't have the data from the beginning. I also chat for a while about what this means for range and how long I expect the car to last etc. Please watch it all and put your thoughts in the comments, I'd love to know what your opinion is regarding degradation of EV batteries.

This car runs on the Hyundai eGMP platform and so this video may be relevant to drivers of other eGMP platform cars too like Kia EV9, Hyundai Ionic 5 and 6 and Genesis GV60 etc.

No cars were harmed in the making of this video! Although I have now covered just over 51,000 miles in my EV6 over almost 2 years of ownership.
